Manage and Convey Release Risk

Wednesday, September 28, 2016

We’ve added the ability to color code your releases based on level of risk. This update offers a simple way to communicate where your plan is on track and where you’re behind. Release risk levels include Green (On Track), Amber (Medium Risk) and Red (High Risk), matching the recommended framework of the Project Management Institute (PMI).

All new releases are colored green by default, but your Admins or Editors can change the risk level of a release at any time, from either Plan mode or the roadmap view. Any releases ending before or starting after the current date will be greyed out – and releases in progress have bolder colors for more contrast – so you can focus on projects in flight. Finally, any changes to release risk and associated comments are logged in the activity feed so you always know why things changed. Take a look at our Wizeline Docs for more information on how to use this feature.
